MERRY CHRISTMAS (or whatever your get down is)!!!!

So here it is Christmas day and the person who loves to talk has lost her voice. I’m sooooo sad. You know something profound is going to be said to me and I’m not going to be able to verbally respond. And my hair is matted bullet proof mat. My mama bought me a coat with a hood for Christmas! Yeah!

It’s a been a whole two weeks. And I’m still loving it. I look sooo different. I’m wondering if I even had hair. I can’t seem to remember it. I have found myself looking at old picture of myself. Not longing or with regret but just in amazement with how different I look. You know I left home one way two weeks ago and I came home another way. How does one forget what one looks like. I’ve found that for a lot of people they will pick a feature and nurse it. Mine was my hair. I had these proverbial strikes against me but I was like at least I got hair! I have turned into the bald headed chick...and I love it. You know if someone made a comment about my hair being short. I wouldn’t even say anything. The thought of saying. You know I used to have hair and pull out a photo album discuss me.

I'm really sick of my hair. I'm sick of fooling with it. My ends feel so busted. When I got home from work, I washed, and detangled my naps. I haven't wore my picked out fro in a while. I was surprised to see how much hair I had. I think it cute...minus the drama associated with it.

You will not believe what I did...

I flat ironed it. After I went to Sally's and bought a ceramic flat iron and some flat iron spray. The entire experience was awful!

One, my hair stanked to be damned! My room and bathroom stunk.

Two, my ends were so busted so I trimmed about and 1 1/2 - 2 inches from it. I should have cut about 3 inches. I think the hair was scab hair. It was really gross.

Three, I really didn't like my hair. I don't like straight hair on me.

Four, I'm really sick of my hair.

After an attempted hair wrapping and sweating all night and tossing and turning with the stench of my hair.

I woke up and was disgusted. My hair was mad ugly. It looked like I had a bad perm.

My middle child was sick so he couldn't go to school, so I stayed home from work.

I was not digging my flat twist. Nor was I digging my hair so I...

Cut it and colored it with Bigen Xpressive Cafe Latte hair color.

First, let me say. I do not encourage the use of heat on natural hair. Heat can and may damage your hair to the point of altering it. Heat can permanently straighten your hair. In the event of heat damage you will have to cut your hair to remove the damaged hair. If you must straighten your hair I suggest using a heat protectant .

Deep conditioning the hair may revert your hair back to it's original condition. Luckily, when I deep conditioned my hair my naps reverted back to their original state.

I cut my hair shorter (the next day). To 3/8 of an inch. You can see the color better at this length. I like it a lot! I'm so digging the new me. I feel different too. I've been going through some turbulent crap and all the mess was attached to my nappy strands so cutting it has removed that energy from my crown (believe it or not).

Plus I think it's dope. I actually feel pretty. Even though my mama said I look like my middle son's brother.
