First, thanks again for the awesome interactions!! You guys were really creative and a lot of you guys were close BUT Madinah Sharif was the first one to hit the nail on the head! Honey, I’m still questioning if you consulted with a 5-year-old on this one. LOL!!

So, this is my youngest son and he was standing in front of a microwave. But Sug, standing in front of a microwave is dangerous cause I read it on the internet. He was making me some dinner (he was 4 at the time). / But Sug, this seems like a CPS issue. Yes, he making me some dinner. My first thought, why is he standing in front of the microwave? My second thought, let me go take a picture of him. Smh He was making me some water soup. #icant

Well, that’s it for this week’s wordless Wednesday post. I look forward to reading your responses. Thanks for listening. :D

Oh wow. These are your sisters. Talk about a LLLOOONNNGGG time ago, huh.

Okay what had happened was that the one who was crying just found out that the boy that she liked so much…like the biggest crush in the world and now her world has come crashing down. Meanwhile in the background, they are consulting amongst themselves as how to console her and not say “I TOLD YOU SO” cause they knew he was a dog, a butthead and an utter imbecile from jump.

I remember karmbaby had some insecurites wit her skinnyness so I think the 2 other girls were whispering loud tlking bout her instead of letting her know thats its perfectly normal and that she is beutiful. U kno how cruel that age group can b. well, all age groups no matter how u try to group them. I know i used to b insecure wit my skinnyness, and come to find out i was within my normal weight range the whole 121-165 for a 67″ frame. #selfempowerment. I more had to let myself know that i was beautiful from the neck down, i was cool with the neck up.

Oh my goodness [in the voice of Shanehneh] ME TOO!!! I HHH—AAA-TTTT-EEEE-DDDD being SO skinny. I used to cry all the time. I was so scared of people and what they had to say. I remember my sister/mama had a very LOUD mouth friend who used to come visit us and she’d always make comments about me and my niece [whose 6 yrs older] and our skinniness. Once she came by and we both hid under one of the beds. By my niece being taller, her legs stuck out and she got yanked from under the bed by her. I was so glad to be so much shorter that I was able to go all the way up to the top of the bed near the wall out of reach. Anywoo, I used to get all kinds of “Cambodian” and “Ethiopian” jokes hurled at me. In high school when all the girl were in all their voluptuousness, I was the skinny as a rail. I had a Hispanic classmate who used to call me flaca which means skinny in Spanish. I can’t say the Spanish word I learned from another Hispanic girl for what I called her, but trust & believe it wasn’t even ’bout nice. It wasn’t until I got married that I was helped to appreciate my skinniness. My husband reasoned with me like this—all them well endowed, over developed girls reached their peek at 19. Now they are older, gravity hits them faster and life…now the look like the whole defensive line of the Chicago Bears while I still look like a kid. #LightBulbComesOn *ding*. Now with an almost 11 year old, I still look like a kid. My husband has been accused of being my daddy…not that he looks old, but I just look like a kid. **big smile** I’ll take that. So glad to hear others who had the same struggle as me cause its nothing worse than feeling all alone in the world and that nobody understands your pain.

I had the skinny struggle too…but it worked for me. Shockingly, I hear more skinny comments as an adult. Smh

my mother’s fam is hipanic and i get flaca all the time but not in a neg way. My female cousins always said how they wished they could be my size again and some of them have acheived it. My mom is more vocal about my weight. it was always “I was 100 lbs when i came to this country and american diet made me fat” so when i gain 2 lbs its “ur getting fat blah blah” I’ve learned to ignore her comments because she will never be happy with my size because she isn’t happy with hers.
And that can be said about MOST WOMEN i have encountered. They say how they are runnign 2 miles a day but still have a pot belly, then turn around and tell me i’m too skinny and need to eat. Ummm excuse me ma’am but i like what i see in the morror. But if ur reflection makes you sigh then do what u can to change for the better and try not to bring it down on me.” But in all honesty every size shouldn’t cast down on their opposite, just work on how u want to be. and if u are already the size that u find is desireable, don’t tlk bad about ur opposite.
