But Sug, what about last week’s Wordless Wednesday picture? If you missed it, I’ll link it HERE. For those who refuse to click the link, here is the photo in question.

Thank you all for the comments. You all were pretty much spot on with this one. The photo is about bullying. The two girls in the back were green (I know, corny) with envy and they proceeded to talk about the girl in front. Sadly, this sort of thing happens all the type. When I used to work in the school system, I saw this sort of thing happen ALL THE TIME. What’s even more sad, is that I saw a lot of adults bully other adults. Smh  Honey, I have stories for days.

Anywho, thank you for reading. I live for your comments and I look forward to what you guys have to say about this week’s Wordless Wednesday photo. :D

Girl, this photo is powerful. This tells a whole lot. Women [and men too] use the opposite sex to “cure” their ills rather than face the issues that are much deeper than what a man/woman can’t cure. Many “self medicate” their feelings, pains and whatever anger, resentment or loneliness by substituting sex rather than getting to the real root of the problems they have. Like any drug, illegal or prescribed, sex can be a form of addiction. We need to deal with our issues and not hide behind whatever one uses to “self medicate” our problems away–which ultimately turns into a bigger problem than the actual problem itself that we run from.

Good explanation CharliGirl. This is a powerful photo and looks like it took a lot of work/thought.
I know some wish there was a prescription for loneliness. This person has quite a few. Hopefully she will be able to re-direct her desires in order to find happiness within. This image makes me want to pray. Good One.

Speak on it! People stay writing their own prescriptions!

She was going through some changes and felt like if she had a man that all her worries would dissapear. After many wrong turns and heartaches a “friend” told her about this “medication” that she saw on an info-mercial late one night (questionable yes?). Her “friend” said she was in the same situation trying to find the one and this commercial promised her the man of her dreams if she would order this stuff and take it religiously. So our young lady gave it a try. All it gave her were the hiccups and a migraine. No man magically appeared on her door step and she spent a lot of money on that stuff. Luckily our lady had another Friend, she got down on her knees and prayed to her Friend that he would send her someone she could count on and love her the way she loved him. Fast foward one year, and guess what? It worked. It took time and pateince and a lot more prayer, but the love of her life walked in and swept her off her feet. A few days before the wedding, she is cleaning out some cabinets, in preparation for moving into their new home. She comes across these old dusty bottles. She laughs at her self as she empties the contents down the sink and throws the bottles away.

Hele emailed me her thoughts on Wordless Wednesday! <3

Hey Sug! I saw the Wordless Wednesday episode 7 and tried to comment but it said it was no longer available. Anywho….I love writing and I sat down for the first time in a long time and began to write about the pic that you posted, I wanted you to see what I came up with and I am excited because it just started flowing out of me and naturally like it use to do, thanks for the this opportunity (even though I missed it) Here’s what i came up with:

It was a warm sunny spring day, Sugar opened the window to allow the wind to sweep away the scents of yesterday and welcome the morning breeze. She stood at the window with her natural tresses blowing behind her resembling a cape to epitomize the superwoman that she is, meanwhile inhaling the fresh spring air as if it were her last breath. Being a beatnik and nonconformist, she refused to be confined by a monthly cable bill regardless of others’ opinions of it being an abnegation of personal weekly entertainment; therefore, she missed the news that announced that today the pollen count was at a record high and the behests that those with respiratory illnesses and allergy issues to stay inside. Sugar begins singing and dancing to the sounds spewing from her own personal DJ, aka DJ iPod, like she was auditioning for American Idol and Solid Gold at the same damn time; while Tiny is lying in the cut scrutinizing to make sure her master doesn’t take it too far. Her id wants to continue dancing and singing but her super-ego tells her that she promised to make a video for YouTube. Finally, she sits down, turns the camera on to test the lighting. She serenades her subscribers with the Who Is Sugar anthem, and then places her left hand out to side as if she was a waitress at the Olive Garden carrying a tray filled with the orders of the party of 6 seated in the back and begins the signature choreography known as the But Sug 1 2 step. Halfway through her But Sug rant, she begins sneezing consecutively, her eyes begin to itch and water so she stops the video and says “Ain’t nobody got time for this allergy situation that is about to pop off, No Ma’am! Ain’t that right Pooda.” Sugar heads to her bathroom and goes to the medicine cabinet to get her Clarinex, however, due to the allergy induced itchy, watery eyes she removed her glasses and left them in the office. She reaches for what she thought was her prescription for Clarinex, instead she grabs Tiny’s behavioral meds (because Tiny can be a hood cat at times). In her defense the bottle looks identical to the one by her Flonase and the spectacles needed to help her“focus” and see clearly were in the other room. Sugar opens the bottle and takes the wrong medication and realizes that she doesn’t remember them being that color; without her giver of vision (glasses) she reads the caution on the bottle which she assumed to say HUMAN CONSUMPTION MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. “Jesus be an ER doctor with a pump and pump my stomach” she runs to the office to retrieve her glasses places them on her face frantically and runs back to the bathroom to see what she just consumed. She realizes that the label said self-medicating may be hazardous to your health and then she remembered that her Boo Shawty cleaned Tiny’s old prescription bottle and put her Phazyme (the bubble guts struggle is real) in the bottle because she was leaving the pillow packs everywhere! ;)
