MERRY CHRISTMAS (or whatever your get down is)!!!! 
So here it is Christmas day and the person who loves to talk has lost her voice. I知 sooooo sad. You know something profound is going to be said to me and I知 not going to be able to verbally respond. And my hair is matted bullet proof mat. My mama bought me a coat with a hood for Christmas! Yeah!

It痴 a been a whole two weeks. And I知 still loving it. I look sooo different. I知 wondering if I even had hair. I can稚 seem to remember it. I have found myself looking at old picture of myself. Not longing or with regret but just in amazement with how different I look. You know I left home one way two weeks ago and I came home another way. How does one forget what one looks like. I致e found that for a lot of people they will pick a feature and nurse it. Mine was my hair. I had these proverbial strikes against me but I was like at least I got hair! I have turned into the bald headed chick...and I love it. You know if someone made a comment about my hair being short. I wouldn稚 even say anything. The thought of saying. You know I used to have hair and pull out a photo album discuss me.

MY LOCS!
My sister started them for me. after research I think I can maintain them myself. I just need someone to grid it for me. I think I'm going to go for a manicured look.

So I was feeling like crap and I went to walmart with this look here>>>>>>>>>
It amazes me how certain people hit on this look.

Well, it's time for me to loc my hair.
*smiling really hard* I don't know how I
know but I know that I
know it's time (yeah I used the word "know" 4 times
in a 14 word sentence). My reasons for locing?

you need a reason?
I don't know how long my journey will be. I don't know where my journey will take me. I do know that I'll embrace this journey.
My only preconceived notion is: I might be in the "ugly stage" (real or imagined) for several months. But that's okay! Patience is what'll get me through.
I had a friend tell me that he knew it was coming and that most naturals end up locing. I didn't even take offense to the stereotype. So what.
Before I begin I'd like to take a trip down memory lane. You know I've had many looks in the past few years:

Today was most interesting.
1. There was a lady hitch hiking near my job.
2. DPE/The Prototype had an interview at a local radio station.
3. Went to a Unity Festival with my youngest son. He asked me if the break dancers were real and if he were dreaming. lol He then said he wants to be a break dancer when he grows up. He then said that they (the professionals) look way better than me break dancing.
4. Hung out at IHOP all night long like I used to do back in the day.
5. Saw a man peeing/jacking off in a parking lot of a strip club while at a red-light.
I'm too excited

See what happened was...
Ok, so my head was itching. Badly. I was told and have read that you MUST wait until 3 WEEKS to wash your head. *I had really started to rethink this whole lockig thing. My head was itching after the 3rd day. I washed my hair. I lost my locs. :(

Bad hair day made better with a head wrap and a hat!
My homie godchild gave me this hat. The hat belonged to his grand dad.
I like it. See my naps peaking?
