you affected my swagger

like 1st graders avoid cracks on pavement

not wanting to crack mama's back

not realizing that mama was vertebrate-ickly challenged  

from 12 oh 7

until it was 2 hours before the alarm clock went off  

it's set to 6:20am 

you do the math

my deoxyribonucleic acid

was on him like air

we lay intertwined as if

Christmas lights

at a yard sale

I felt him before he spoke

"Good Mornin, Honey"

my man affects my swagger

like commas affect the flow of sentences

and all this time you thought my feet were hurting...
